Trade-in program for pre-owned Bacchetta bikes

Sustainability that is easy and seamless

Ready for an upgrade? Trade in your older Bacchetta bike and receive a $300 credit toward purchasing a brand-new model.

Perhaps you’ve been drooling over the new Bacchetta Pronto and Pronto Alto? Maybe you want to upgrade your classic bike to the modern Giro A20?

It's easy, sustainable, and designed to keep you riding with the latest innovations.

💡 Did you know

Bacchetta has been building bikes since 2000, There are thousands of riders all over the world who would love to “trade-up” and there are many riders who are not in a position to purchase a new recumbent. Bacchetta is now pleased to offer a trade in program to meet both of these needs.

How does this trade-in program work?

Step 1: Configure your new Bacchetta recumbent on our website and go to checkout

  • On our checkout page you will see a discount code box
  • Enter the discount code USEDBIKE
  • You will NOT see a $300 discount. This code just lets us know that you will be providing the details listed below to get your $300 discount.
  • This discount cannot be applied with any other discounts…sorry.
  • Complete your order and we will reach out to you to get documentation from you and send you shipping labels.

😍 All trade in program bikes must be in rideable condition and Bacchetta brand. We are not taking non-Bacchetta bikes at this time. We will give you a $300 refund and pay to ship your bike to us.

Step 2: Sending documentation for your trade-in

We will require that you send us verification that your bike is in rideable condition. We will email you a document that requests pictures of your bike from various angles. We will also ask that you send us a walk-around video of your bike. Once we have received this documentation, we will ask you to follow the steps below.

Step 3: Sending us your bike

After you have submitted your documentation, we will instruct you to do one of two things:

  • If we deem the bike is not in good enough condition for us to resell, we will ask you to provide proof that you have destroyed your bike. Using a hacksaw to cut off one of the rear dropouts is sufficient. Please don’t do this until we tell you to - you will still receive your discount!
  • We will send you a video on how to disassemble your bike. We will send boxes with your new bike to be used for shipment. We will email you shipping labels. Once we have received the bike, we will credit you $300.

Step 4: Go ride your new bike!

What happens to these bikes?

As we receive each bike for our trade-in program, we will give it a full inspection to ensure that it is in good enough condition to resell as a “Bacchetta Certified Pre-Owned Recumbent”.

Many will not make the cut. From those bikes, we may pull parts to use when rebuilding other used bikes.

“Bacchetta Certified Pre-Owned Recumbents” will be featured on their own page for sale, just like our other bikes.
