In our experience, riders have a number of expectations when they want to electrify their trike. And none of the current offerings check all of the boxes. First, they want something that looks factory-fit. Who wants to slap on a kit that requires all sorts of brackets to ensure the motor doesn't move? Who wants to look at messy wires running all over the place? Who wants the hassle of having to figure out which additional parts and wires need to be ordered to make everything work perfectly?

Many riders want access to a throttle for easy starts at lights and on hills. Also, due to any number of medical or physical conditions, riders may not have the ability to complete a ride if required to pedal. The throttle can get them back to the start with confidence.

Some kits are woefully underpowered and/or come with small batteries that limit riding to under 20 miles if using the higher levels of assist. 50-60Nm of torque just isn't going to get you up that steep climb (we've tried) and a 400Wh battery is just too small for rides of any meaningful length. We can also program your kit with a 20mph  or 28mph top speed (no throttle with 28mph though) for exactly the kind of riding you do.

Fourth, they want a system that is smooth and feels like they are just pedaling a bike. They do not want a torquey, overpowered system that hurts their knees every time they start pedaling.

Finally, riders want something that won't jeopardize the warrantee on their steed. All trike manufacturers put a hard stop on motors over 250w. And we've seen the broken frames that prove why!
